Jeffrey Awdas

Jeff was born in County Durham and attended Wellfield A J Dawson Grammar School at Wingate, then Easington Technical College at Peterlee. After a stint with the CEGB whilst at college, his first job was with Mullards at Belmont, manufacturing TV tubes. After a move down south he worked for Schwarzkopf as a production supervisor, then as a sales manager mainly in the fluid coupling field. 
After living near York for a while he finally moved back to County Durham and Married Wendy in 2000. 

Jeff was initiated into Coronation Lodge 2929 in 2001 where he served as WM in 2008 and again in 2013. He has been through the chairs of the Chapter, Mark, two Mariner lodges, and is currently on the Provincial bodyguard of the Knight Templars. 

In the Order of Royal and Select Masters he joined Beamish Council in 2006 and served as TIM 2010. He was appointed as Assistant District Grand Director of Ceremonies in 2011 and promoted to District Grand Director of Ceremonies in 2013.

Jeff was honoured as Grand Manciple in April 2016

He has an interest in military history and has an extensive library on the subject. He is a keen war gamer and enjoys refighting battles in miniature on the table top.
